WEST CITY – West City Police are looking for three suspects involved in a Friday night robbery in the jewelry department at Walmart in West City.
Police responded to the store at 9:20 p.m. and determined that three male suspects, described as Hispanic, walked into the store and targeted the jewelry display case. One of the suspects used a burglary tool to break into the glass case where a substantial amount of gold jewelry was stolen.
The suspects fled the scene south on I-57 in an older-model white Jeep Grand Cherokee with some possible damage on the rear passenger side. When they left, the vehicle’s headlights were not on, just its emergency flashers.
