Juvenile Arrested for Breaking into Colp Liquor Store, Taking Alcohol

COLP – A juvenile suspect is in custody after burglarizing a Williamson County liquor store early Sunday morning.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to an alarm just before 2 a.m. at Big Daddy Liquor in Colp. They found that someone had forced their way inside through a broken glass door.

A sheriff’s K9 was deployed through the broken glass door and confirmed no suspects remained inside. The K9 was then deployed to track the fleeing suspect which led deputies over a half mile away to the 200 block of Madison Street in Colp where they located a 17- year-old juvenile suspect in a home.

The juvenile admitted to breaking into and burglarizing the liquor store as well as the theft of multiple bottles of alcoholic beverage.

The juvenile was arrested and taken to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.

The juvenile was cited for Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property and Theft.

The juvenile was turned over to a parent/guardian and issued a notice to appear in court.
