MCLEANSBORO – Grace Millenbine, age 93, a resident of McLeansboro, IL, passed away at 2:34 a.m. Sunday, January 12, 2025, at Stone Bridge Memory Care in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Grace was born January 8, 1932, in Dale, IL, to Bobby Trout and Elve Mabel (Bond) Trout. She married Johnie Lewis Millenbine on September 12, 1953. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Union Congregational Christian Church. Grace loved to garden, cook pies, take long walks but most of all she loved to visit with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Ronny Millenbine and wife, Bessie, McLeansboro, IL, and Randall G. Millenbine and wife, Rhonda, McLeansboro, IL. Surviving grandchildren are Troy Millenbine and wife Vickie, Tim Millenbine and wife Sherri, Leah Lorenz and husband C. J., Rocky Millenbine and wife Courtney, and Rusty Millenbine; great-grandchildren, Jerrod, Lane, Aaron Millenbine; Taylor, Tristen, Tessa Millenbine; Kadence, Karsten Lorenz; and Avie, Rynn, Libby, Presley and Reid Millenbine. Also surviving are two sisters, Elsie York, McLeansboro, IL, and Delsie Lynch, McLeansboro, IL.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Orlin, Kenneth, and Hershel; along with two sisters, Effie Smith and Dollie Smith.
Memorials may be made to the Pleasant Union Church.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to noon Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro with funeral services following at noon, with Pastors Tim Millenbine and C. J. Lorenze officiating. Burial will follow at Old Springer Cemetery in McLeansboro, IL.
