CARBONDALE – The City of Carbondale has released a statement regarding an incident at the conclusion of Tuesday night’s City Council executive session meeting.
The city says shortly after 9 p.m., Carbondale Police officers and City of Carbondale staff members intervened in a verbal situation involving two city council members and members of the public.
No injuries were reported by any of the involved parties.
Carbondale Police continue to investigate the matter.
The results of the investigation will be referred to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office for review.
