Franklin County Sheriff’s K9 Riot Retiring Due to Health

BENTON – Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon announced Thursday the unfortunate retirement of K9 Riot due to a cardiac enlargement most likely attributed to Dilated Cardiomyopathy found during a recent visit to the vet.

His condition is an incurable progressive heart condition that occurs in large dog breeds. This condition has a significant impact on Riot’s ability to tolerate physical exertion.
