CARBONDALE – IDOT says southbound I-57 will be closed to all traffic between exit 30 at Illinois 146 in Union County to exit 45 at Illinois 148 in Williamson County starting Tuesday night at 7 for emergency guardrail and pavement repairs.
Traffic will be detoured to eastbound I-24 just south of Marion. Repairs are expected to be completed and all lanes reopened by 7 a.m. Wednesday.
You can expect delays. Take other routes to avoid the area.
