METROPOLIS – A woman, known to be a convicted felon and wanted on Massac County warrants, was recently charged with Unlawful Possession of Ammunition by a Felon and Criminal Trespass to Property after being located at a home she had been previously trespassed from in the 1000 block of Ferry Street in Metropolis according to Metropolis Police.
Police say 36-year-old Amber M. Gilbert was lodged in the Massac County Detention Center last Tuesday.
A caller informed police Gilbert was at the home. Gilbert was wanted on two Massac County warrants – one for Possessing Meth and the other for Criminal Trespass to Property. Gilbert was found at the home and arrested. She had in her possession 26 rounds of ammunition. She was then charged and taken to jail.
