CARTERVILLE – The City of Carterville has named Kendall Hollister as its new police chief following a unanimous decision made by the City Council at a special meeting earlier this week.
Hollister has over 30 years of law enforcement experience, most recently serving as a Captain with the SIU Department of Public Safety.
Hollister is a lifelong Carterville resident who actually began his law enforcement career for the city in the early 1990s.
