MCLEANSBORO – Jackie Lee Terry, age 86, of McLeansboro passed away Thursday, March 13, 2025, at Linda White Hospice in Evansville, IN.
Jackie was born January 6, 1939, in Ewing, IL. He was a son of Harry Terry and Georgia (Tackwell) Terry.
He was a member of the Christian Chapel Christian Church in McLeansboro. He also served in the United States Army. Jackie enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved to “Piddle” working with his hands to make something.
Survivors include his daughter, Theresa (Terry) Barker and husband Larry, Dardenne Prairie, MO. Also, a son, Toby Terry, McLeansboro; grandchildren, Derek Barker and wife Rachel, Hazelwood, MO., Amanda Ream and husband Nathan, O’Fallon, MO., Ashley Jones and husband Shawn, Oceanside, CA, and Brian Terry, Florissant, MO. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Finley Jones and Kennedy Jones; a sister, June Fiorita, Phoenix, AZ; and a sister-in-law, Carrol Zelenik, Westmont, IL.
Jackie is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bob Terry and Dan O’Connor.
There will be a service for burial of ashes at a later date.
Memorials may be made to Linda White Hospice and will be accepted by Harre Funeral Home or the family.
The Harre Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
