CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police say a juvenile pedestrian was hit by a off-duty Carbondale Police officer Tuesday morning at the intersection of South Lewis Lane and East Grand Avenue in Carbondale.
No serious injuries were reported. The juvenile was released to a parent at the scene.
The SIU Department of Public Safety investigated the crash and took enforcement action for a traffic offense. The investigation is ongoing.
