HARRISBURG – Harrisburg Police recently launched a new app to help residents connect with police to find information, view alerts and submit anonymous tips from their smartphone.

You can find the app for free on Google Play and the Apple App store. Just search for Harrisburg PD.
With the app you’ll be able to share an anonymous tip with police and allows officers to respond back to create an anonymous two-way conversation.
The Harrisburg PD app and tip411 are 100 percent anonymous, as the technology removes all identifying information before police see the tips and there is no way to identify the sender.
Those without a smartphone can share information with the Harrisburg Police Department by sending an anonymous tip from their cell phone to 847411 (tip411), keyword HBGPD, then hit space, followed by their tip.
