CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police are looking for a Chicago man wanted in connection with a robbery that happened during the early morning hours of April 17 in the 300 block of South Illinois Avenue.

Police say the victim was outside of an area business when he was approached by two white men. They all got into an argument and one of the suspects, 35-year-old Justin M. Cemail, took the victim’s electric scooter and displayed a knife when the victim tried taking the scooter back.
The second suspect tried to take some of the victim’s property, but was not successful. The victim fled the area and was not injured.
Detectives identified Cemail as the suspect and were able to get a Jackson County arrest warrant for Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking.
Cemail is a white male, standing 6’1’ tall and weighs 170 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He has not been found at this time. The second suspect’s identity is also not known at this time.
