MARION – The City of Marion will hold a public meeting Tuesday night regarding a grant it is applying for through the Illinois Safe Routes to School Program (STRS).
STRS is an initiative that makes it safe, convenient and fun for children to walk and bike to and from schools.
If the City is awarded this grant, grant money will go to build sidewalks at North Fair Street and Morningside Drive.
The public meeting will begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall on Tower Square.
