FAIRFIELD – A Fairfield couple was formally charged Tuesday in Wayne County Court with more than 20 felony charges each accusing them of unlawfully videotaping people at their home.
Court records show 59-year-old David L. Legg, and his 58-year-old wife LaDonna Kay were each charged with 21 Class 4 felonies Tuesday, stemming from an investigation that was launched in November.
Fairfield officers were investigating an incident involving unlawful videotaping at the Legg home and reportedly recovered a video recording device that had been concealed in a room of the home.
The Leggs allegedly removed the device and attempted to prevent the recovery of the item.
They were formally charged Tuesday with 10 counts each unlawful video recording, 10 counts each videotaping a person’s intimate parts, and one count each obstructing justice.
Both Leggs are scheduled to next appear in court March 12 for preliminary hearings.
