NASHVILLE (WMIX) – Shortly after putting out an appeal to residents Wednesday in the Centralia/Wamac area to keep an eye out for two young girls missing from the Ashley area since early Tuesday morning, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office announced the girls had been located.
The sheriff’s office had earlier announced 15-year-old Alexcia N. Shaw was reportedly seen in the Centralia/Wamac area and asked people in the community to check outbuildings, sheds or abandoned structures in the area.
A short time later the sheriff’s office announced both girls had been located.
Missing with Alexcia was 14-year-old Delilah N. Russell. The girls were last seen around 2 a.m. Tuesday in Ashley.
Both girls were reportedly located, but no details have been released regarding where they were located or their physical condition.
