Paul Keith French

SPRINGFIELD, MO – Paul Keith French, age 78, a resident of Springfield, MO, and formerly of McLeansboro, IL. passed away at 8:24 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, at Cedarhurst Senior Living in Springfield, MO, with his family with him.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until Memorial Time at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2024, at Harre Funeral Home in  McLeansboro, IL.

A Memorial Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jacob Gray officiating. Keith’s ashes will be buried by his family at Ten Mile Baptist Cemetery at a later date.

Keith was born September 19, 1945, in McLeansboro, IL, to Paul French and Hallie M. (Allen) French. He married Donna Sue (Davis) November 19, 1967, in McLeansboro, IL. Keith graduated from McLeansboro Township High School with the “Class of 1964”- 60 years ago. He worked as an iron worker with Local 103 of Evansville, IN. Keith was Baptist by faith and was a member of Ten Mile Missionary Baptist Church in McLeansboro, IL. He loved hunting, shooting pool, building “things” and helping others. He was a member of the Illinois Army National Buard.

Survivors include his wife Donna of Springfield, MO; daughter Nikki Kampe and husband Regan of Springfield, MO; brother Joey French and wife Pat of Washington, MO; sister-in-law Cathleen French; granddaughter Megan Kampe.

Preceding Keith in death were his parents Paul and Hallie French; two sisters Phyllis June Burnett and husband Gene and Judy Ritchey and husband Howard; and brother Dean Allen French.

The Harre Funeral Home in McLeansboro is in charge of arrangements.
