MILLS RIVER, NC – Frank Abel, 83, of Mills River, NC, passed away on Friday, May 24, 2024, at his home.
He was born on July 16, 1940, in West Frankfort to Joseph and Helen (Pintar) Abel. He married Ruth (Jarrett) Abel and she preceded him in death.
He is survived by a niece Barbara Rush and a cousin Margie Walker of Coello.
Frank was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during the Vietnam Era.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Gilbert Funeral Home in Christopher.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Sesser.
