CARBONDALE – Carbondale Police say a Carterville man recently burglarized a storage facility and stole items including a 2008 white Ford Ranger truck.
Police went to the scene in the 1500 block of Reed Station Road in Carbondale last Wednesday and learned the suspect, identified as 32-year-old Cody L. McKenzie, entered the property and took the items and the truck.
During the investigation, detectives identified McKenzie as the suspect. He was lodged in the Williamson County Jail on unrelated charges.
Detectives met with McKenzie and charged him with additional charges of Motor Vehicle Theft. McKenzie is currently lodged in the Jackson County Jail. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
